BAKER MAYFIELD BREAKS RECORD

07 October 2017- The 3rd Ranked Oklahoma Sooners have been impressive in recent months on the football field, currently  undefeated with a 4-0 overall record. Through the first 4 games of the season Oklahoma has put up impressive offensive numbers, with 1329 passing yards, and 13 touchdowns  in just 101 attempts. This comes from the well rounded quarterback play by heisman trophy candidate Baker Mayfield. Mayfield has been successful his entire football career ,in high school Mayfield attended Lake Travis High School in Austin,Texas  and led the football team to a 25-2 record in two seasons winning the 2011 4a State Championship along the way. After High School Mayfield walked on to Texas Tech. He was named starter just before the start of the 2013 season and during his first game as the main guy under center he threw for 413 yards,4 touchdowns, and no picks. His Talent has been discovered and won the conference player of the week award for his performance. Baker Has an established career at Texas Tech but decided to transfer to The University of Oklahoma due to scholarship complications and the rest of history. The Most recent accomplishment for Mayfield is the breaking of a record formerly held by Sam Bradford.,which was four the most consecutive games with multiple touchdown passes in the big 12,Mayfield broke the record at 18 straight games topping Bradford’s 17. The record was broken on 10/7/17 in an game against Iowa State.
